It’s Germ Fest at our place, so I’m sending you to my old stomping ground for this week’s project as I have no energy to do anything myself! Christmas has been nipping at our heels since September ONE when some major department stores mistook it for April Fools Day and set up their Christmas shops just to annoy the hell out of parents whose children have no doubt asked every single day since “so is Santa coming tonight?” 113 more sleeps just is NOT what children want to hear…
Anyway, it’s definitely getting closer and the Real Living Christmas issue arrived in stores yesterday with lots of great decorating ideas, cool gift guide and budget DIY options. Seeing as we don’t exactly fit the snowflake, stockings over chimneys and sleigh kind of decorating being upside down and therefore summer, I liked the Australiana twist. I’d love this DIY wreath (above) on my front door…
Also? Envelope placemats, Aussie flower centrepieces and framed Chrissy cards. All easy, all inexpensive, all so Australian. You can find all the how-to-make info at the website here but make sure you pick up the issue because I know there are at least three FANTASTICALLY written pieces by this awesome writer called Belinda Graham who you may or may not kinda know. But really, it’s more about the pictures, isn’t it? And there are plenty of pretty ones. So enjoy the issue!
