Hello, hello!
Thank you for your comments on my previous post - I was so thrilled to hear I inspire some of you! I’ve had a very busy bitsy day doing work, admin, checking out Zak’s preschool, shopping, banking etc, but just wanted to let you know that Ohdeedoh have a little tour of Layla’s bedroom today. If you haven’t seen it and wondered what *Princess Layla’s bed chambers looked like, head over here. No new pics, I’m afraid, except this one. Yes, that is lavender taped to the wall again. It was the only option and I was in a hurry to create a close up! I did make it slightly different – it’s in a test tube this time!
* When we first brought Layla home from hospital I inexplicably began calling her Princess Layla. I don’t know why; I don’t even really like saying it – it just spits out of my mouth. And still does, annoyingly. Then one time I called her it and freaked out, telling Steve all upset and close to tears (!) that we’d named her after a Star Wars character and what the heck were we thinking (he loves Star Wars; I fall asleep watching it)? Clearly, I had a serious case of baby brain because a) Princess Layla is NOT Layla’s actual name; and b) the Star Wars character is Princess Leia. Der.
I’ll see you back here tomorrow! x

I love her name! Gorgeous. I have strange names for my kids and sometimes people liken them to tv shows too…but I don’t care! Her room is very cute too
Love the art you have in Layla’s room – Belle and Boo are one of my favourite Etsy store – I’m hoping to frame some of their prints for Grace’s room when she is a bit older.. am off to see the room tour… x
This is very cute. The room and the story about her name. I read your blog daily in my google reader and just wanted to let you know that I do enjoy it. Sorry I don’t get over here often enough to comment.
